I love this article and the pictures. They bring back many memories of my youth in the Kentucky country side. I do want to point out 1 small correction. In this picture, those are not hat stacks. They are “corn shocks” . Farmers would cut their corn stalks and shock them up in these little tent shapes. I think they used them for livestock feed.
Thank you Bill! Yes that is correct, my title for that photograph is in a large file that mostly has photographs of barns and haystacks. It is corn for sure:)
