About

I started painting at an early age and have always enjoyed the process of creating and manifesting some new vision.
There is a deep emphasis on illuminating the spirit in all things natural.  “I have a great fascination with abandoned places, unique objects, and the play of shadow and light during dusk hours.
My love of exploring the “rural path” along river towns of the Mid-west and the forests have enabled me to share a story through photographing abandoned houses and the fragments that were left behind from people’s lives.

I am a native of Southern Indiana and Kentucky. I was deeply inspired by rural American history, the Ohio River, the beautiful hills I would hike and camp upon and learn about the variety of trees, flowers and insects that were abundant throughout the seasons.

Since childhood, I have always been intrigued with exploring the rural path. I suppose I have a great curiosity for old, abandoned places of the past; communities and the fragments that are left behind from people’s lives.

My photographs reflect an ethereal composition illuminating the spirit in nature. I enjoy reflecting light on the timeless soul and story that has been forgotten.

I have also been painting and drawing since I was young. I utilize a dry brush effect with much layering to achieve the fine detail prominent in my art paintings; choosing to mix with three primary colors to attain the many hues that are present.

I have done commissioned paintings, wall murals, photographed and exhibited work nationally for many businesses, designers and private individuals. One of the many large wall paintings executed was a large jungle mural for the late Mystery writer, Sue Grafton.

I have published a book titled ‘The Abandoned Story, Volumes I and II, that reflect upon abandoned places and historical accounts from Mid-west America, to include my documentation and stories of old cemeteries, forest roads, rural haunts and abandoned structures that are found in the Mid-west river towns and countryside.

I have some creative writings that were selected and appear on Rutger Hauer’s official website and were published in my book.

I am proud to hold the position of President of Synfuels Assets Management Inc., a company with Patented Intellectual Property and biological designs, specializing in carbon transformation, waste to energy and wastewater technology.

I am Owner and Artisan Perfumer, of Angel Blue Perfume LLC; a holistic, wild crafted herbal perfume/cologne company for women and men. I utilize our Patented Solvent Extraction technology to capture the essential oils of honeysuckle and other plant essences.

At the present, my plans are on the study and documenting the natural environment, history and abandoned places along the old American river towns and countryside by photographing, writing and painting the communion of the past’s story as it unfolds into the present.
